This morning when I went to church and listening to sermon brought by Ps. Sidney Mohede, I decided to write it and share it in my blog because it is always a great thing to spread the Word of God.
Deu 30:19 (ERV)Today I am giving you a choice of two ways. And I ask heaven and earth to be witnesses of your choice. You can choose life or death. The first choice will bring a blessing. The other choice will bring a curse. So choose life! Then you and your children will live.
Our life is not run automatically. God gives us choices. Life vs death. Blessing vs curse. And God said, choose life!! So not just us receive the blessing but for our future generations too.
Life is result of past decisions we made. So, if we don`t like with our situation now, make a different choice!
Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.RUMI
Responsible is response able. Most people make decisions based on their current situation. The wise one make decisions based on where they want to be. So, it is important to know your vision, where you will going and your value.
There are five things influencing your life many years ahead:
- What are you reading?
- What are you listening?
- What are you see or watch?
- What seminar or class you attend?
- With whom you make friend and hanging with?
There is quote "Show me your friend and I will show you your future"
Who you spent your time with will influence your life. If you hanging with wrong persons, you will never meet the right one.
You can`t hanging with chicken and wish to soar like eagle.
You can`t hanging with cat and wish to roar like lion.
Proverb 13:20 (ERV)Be friends with those who are wise, and you will become wise. Choose fools to be your friends, and you will have trouble
It is not hard to make choices and decisions when you know your value are.
The question : who is influencing you?
After you know this, what to do next?
DELETE TOXIC PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!
1 Cor 15:33 (ERV)Don't be fooled: "Bad friends will ruin good habits."
Proverb 22:24 (ERV)Don't be friends with people who become angry easily. Don't stay around quick-tempered people.
People think it is hard to leave people who is close to you or not just close, but more than friend and more like family to you. But check this out. Even Abraham choose to separate with Lot, and Lot is his nephew.
Gen 13:1-9 (ERV)So Abram left Egypt. He traveled through the Negev with his wife and everything he owned. Lot was also with them. At this time Abram was very rich. He had many animals and much silver and gold. Abram continued traveling around. He left the Negev and went back to Bethel. He went to the place between the city of Bethel and Ai, where he and his family had camped before. This was where Abram had built an altar earlier. So he worshiped the LORD there. During this time Lot was also traveling with Abram. Lot had many animals and tents. Abram and Lot had so many animals that the land could not support both of them together. (The Canaanites and the Perizzites were also living in this land at the same time.) The shepherds of Abram and Lot began to argue. So Abram said to Lot, "There should be no arguing between you and me or between your people and my people. We are all brothers. We should separate. You can choose any place you want. If you go to the left, I will go to the right. If you go to the right, I will go to the left.
When people walk away from you, let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you, and it doesn`t mean they are bad people. It just means that their part in your story is over.T.D. JAKES
God will never ask you to let go something without giving you something better in return. There`s always a blessing attached to obedience.
So, what to do next after delete toxic people?
There are four things to do:

2. Choose to surround yourself with people whose definition of you is not based on your history, but your destiny. Choose people who add your value. Choose people who believe in you and empower you. Choose people that doing things that you are going to do or people who already did it greatly.
3. Choose to surround yourself with people who encourage you to go after your dreams and applaud your victories. Our friend should be sharpen us not make us dull.
Mark 2:1-5 (ERV)
A few days later, Jesus came back to Capernaum. The news spread that he was back home. A large crowd gathered to hear him speak. The house was so full that there was no place to stand, not even outside the door. While Jesus was teaching, some people brought a paralyzed man to see him. He was being carried by four of them. But they could not get the man inside to Jesus because the house was so full of people. So they went to the roof above Jesus and made a hole in it. Then they lowered the mat with the paralyzed man on it. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the paralyzed man, "Young man, your sins are forgiven."
4. Choose to surround yourself with the presence of Jesus. His voice is our greatest influence. Jesus is our closest friend! Choose to pursue God`s presence in your life. It will change your life!
Isaiah 30:21 (ERV)
If you wander from the right path, either to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, "You should go this way. Here is the right way."
